Massimo Venturo biography
 

 

Born in 1971 in Naples, at the age of four years he moved with his family in northern Italy.
The reluctance to school, push him into the world of work and at 14 years finds a job as a dishwasher in a restaurant in Galliate.
After a brief parantesi of experience as a welder, working in the week-ends in some pubs, do military service in the fire department as the military officer in the canteen. In the while, organize the reception for the Santa Barbara' feast for 150 guests with great success.
Once On leaving, makes the leap to become self-established "party service" organization conferences.
He organizes the Quality Day MEMC Novara, near the Castello Sforzesco in Galliate and attended by 800 guests ..... it's a huge success so that the company thanks him with a plaque.
In 1995 he opened the Macs' Bar and will experience a technique that would make him famous, the Cappuccino Art, drawing initially with a toothpick, then with eatble ink, on the cream of the Capuchins of its customers.
The great leap is in 1996, after participating in the contest of Lavazza coffee, when entering the finals in Malta, during which he collects the highest scores being proclaimed the winner.... it's the night of 20 November 1996.
This is the spring that pushes his imagination and creativity to perfect the technique, experimenting with new substances and new products to enhance the taste of cappuccino and improve the choreography reproduced on the foam.
His efforts are bearing fruit and he is known in Italy and abroad for demonstrations of this special technique of which he has complete mastery.
They open the doors of the television broadcast in 1998 to participate in tv show In famiglia with Tiberio Timperi on Rai 2, then in June the same year he participated in tv show Verde Mattina with Luca Sardella Green on Rai 1. In 1999 he was guest of Maurizio Costanzo in Buona Domenica on Channel 5.
In 1998 he was named "International Coffee Taster" and the same year his restaurant won the title of "Bar of the Year 1998".
Successive professional success to date, with the title Champion Italian cappuccino art and its presence in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's largest cappuccino art from more than 2000 liters.
In 1999 starts out on paper part of his vast experience and writes a book with Maria Teresa Ugazio, """ "The Capuchin, tradition and art".
In the meantime, he open a new bar in Vigevano, the Macs Cafe, just few steps from the Piazza Ducale, entered in the famous guide "Gambero Rosso 2007", yet another proof, if proof were needed, the professional skills of Massimo Venturo.
The volcanic barman, in the continuous refinement of their creations, bearing in mind that much of the result is the quality of the products used, decided to found Torrefazione Venturo.
With this activity, he can transfer all its experience and know-how directly to the source of the primary product, coffee, running the first-hand the delicate process of roasting coffee directly imported from the best manufacturers in the world, and thus managing to produce the perfect coffee bean.
Thanks to the high quality of his product, has also decided to allow to all locals, public and private, to use its mixture producing a complete line of products for bar with its logo, the Caffè ti odio.....
